    Bangalore Arrival

    A Keralatoursco Representative will meet you upon arrival and escort you to your hotel in the Garden City of Bangalore - the only planned city in India as well as one of the most modern and fastest growing cities in India. It is a beautiful city to spend time in with its tree-lined streets, abundance of gardens, and a great mix of old and new architecture. Spend the evening as you like.

    Bangalore to Mysore (3 hour drive)

    Leave Bangalore and proceed to Mysore, You will be charmed by the faded grandeur of Mysore, the former capital of the much loved Wodeyars dynasty who reigned from the 16th century. A city rich in heritage, make sure you discover its royal palaces, sacred temples and majestic buildings but leave time to stroll through some of its many parks and gardens or along a wide leafy boulevard.; Visit Mysore Palace you cant fail to be impressed by this vast palace, with its turrets, domes and arches and an opulent interior with intricately carved doors and ceilings. Wander through the luxuriously furnished rooms, once home to the royal family, and admire this treasure trove of works of art from all over the world. If you are in Mysore on a Sunday or national holiday dont miss the spectacle of the palace illuminated by thousands of light bulbs. Jaganmohan Palace Spend time perusing the collection of 19th century paintings in this former palace. The skill of the Indian artists, using natural vegetable and mineral dyes, is extraordinary. Enjoy the traditional Mysore Gold leaf paintings which are on display here. Evening wander through the Devaraj market, its about 125-year-old market and has over 700 stalls where you can pick the most authentic spices and ingredients This traditional market carries forward the ancient concepts of Bazaars in India.     Mysore to Kabini (2 hour drive)

    Drive to Kabini, one of India most popular wildlife destinations - on the fringes of the Nagarhole National Park where you will enjoy a jeep wildlife safari. In the evening you will be treated to a showing of a wildlife movie at the Viceroy Building.

    Kabini to Wayanad (3.5 hour drive)

    Ascend to 2,.000 meters into the cool hills of Wayanad. The scenic rides takes you through tropical rain forests, dense hills, rolling paddy fields, spice and tea plantations, and through unforgettable vistas. Spend the night.

    Wayanad

    Start off the day at the Edakkal Caves - two natural caves (alt. 1,200m) on Ambukutty Mala. The caves have pictorial writings dating back to 5,000 BC (Neolithic period) indicating the presence of a prehistoric civilization. These Stone Age carvings are the only known example from South India. Later, visit the Jain Temple (Tippus Fort) - built in the 13th century, it served as a sacred Hindu shrine and eventually as a Battery. Later, stop in at the Heritage Museum, home to an interesting collection of artifacts from the Wayanad region. En route to the hotel, visit the Chain Tree, a spot immersed in local legend.

    Wayanad to Mudumalai (2.5 hour drive)

    Drive up to the Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (also declared a Tiger Reserve). Although a haven for Bengal Tigers and Indian Leopards, sightings are considered quite rare. However, the park is home to diverse wildlife and offers some great side trips for opportunities to spot the park denizens - take an elephant safari, hang out on the banks of the Moyar River where animals come to drink, follow the Moyar River to Moyar Falls where it plunges into a giant gorge, bring your binoculars to spot some rare vultures and birds. Spend the night at the edge of the Park.

    Spend a day of leisure in the hills of Mudumalai. Visit an Elephant Camp in the evening and then go for a Jeep Safari. Spend the night.

    Mudumalai - Ooty - Coonoor via Toy Train

    Leave Mudumali and travel to Ooty Contrasting with the heat of the plains and coastline, the cool climate of this hill station, high up in the Nilgiri Hills and founded by the British in the 19th century, has continually attracted travellers. Board the steam train to enjoy a trip from Ooty – Coonoor affording some spectacular views of the Precipitous Eastern slopes of the rain-forested Nilgiris .Tthe tea plantations of Coonoor scramble up the side of the surrounding steep hills. Visit the plantations to see the tea-pickers patiently plucking the young leaves from the neat bushes. Admire the verdant scenery covered in wild flowers and home to colourful birds.

    Coonoor to Cochin (6 hour drive)

    Enjoy the scenic drive down the Niligiri Hills to the heritage town of Fort Cochin. Kerala only metropolis, Cochin is a fun place to explore - from the markets to the harbor islands you will find plenty to keep you interested, entertained and occupied. Spend the evening as you wish.

    Cochin

    Spend the day seeing the sights which may include a visit to the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica or a boat tour of the harbor islands. In the evening enjoy a Kathakali dance show on the harbor-front overlooking the Chinese Fishing Nets.
